What do you do at Ad Results? What three words would you use to describe your role?

I am a Media Buyer at Ad Results. Communication, Improvisation and Organization are three words I would use to describe my role.

You were nominated for Austin Ad Fed’s Big Wig award! What does this accomplishment mean to you?

So exciting! It really serves as a reminder that we are all in this together. Everyone’s hard work day-in and day-out matters in the success of a campaign and client. There are no small parts!

What makes you excited about the advertising community in Austin?

This is a town filled to the brim with talented individuals and agencies alike. I feel that the agencies here all genuinely respect and root for one another. It’s exciting to be surrounded by such a concentration of creativity and ingenuity. It really challenges you to be the best you can be and provides some wildly talented individuals to learn and grow from/with.

What’s your most memorable Ad Results Media moment so far?

Day 1 in ATX at the WeWork. It was just three of us at the time, Frank, Tobin and I, and it really did feel like a startup of sorts. Everything was so new in a sense and we knew that we were fundamental in the success of the office and the culture that was to be created. It was a moment of great pride for me personally. I felt like I had a responsibility to something greater than myself.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

Knowing that I get to be a part of the history of the ever-changing audio world and ARM team. It really allows me to learn and grow my skill set every day.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal and/or professional?

A few years ago, I looked at the life I was living and the things I was prioritizing and realized my choices were not contributing to my personal/professional happiness. I had settled for certain things, people, environments, etc. as I believed them to be the “right thing” and was leading a life that I wasn’t necessarily challenging myself in or growing. I was stuck and scared of what else was out there. Long story short, I made the decision to live and to prioritize my time for the people, career opportunities and passions that I wanted to pursue no matter the risk of failure.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Mindy Kaling! She radiates happiness with every step and has created a lane in the film and entertainment industry that shares her unique voice, life experiences and interests in the most brilliant, tasteful and hilarious way.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

The future is the present. How you treat people today effects the outcomes of tomorrow. Live impactfully.

Favorite podcast?

The Daily is my favorite as of late. It’s the perfect length for my walk into the office every morning!

Can you share a specific win you’ve had at Ad Results?

Last week, I was able to negotiate Morning Brew’s CPM down to $35 Gross for a :60 from their negotiated $55 Gross CPM for the agency. Not the biggest win but a definite win nonetheless.

What do you hope for in terms of the future in the audio industry and here at Ad Results?

For the audio industry, I’m hopeful that it continues to see a strong resurgence with the younger demographic across new media platforms. It’s been really exciting to watch the way information is received with the popularity of podcast. In regard to ARM, I’m hopeful that we continue to be the top experts in the podcasting space and continue to challenge what it means to be an agency. Now that we have our very own podcast and recording studio, maybe we create a production studio arm of ARM creating content we enjoy/ know will perform well?
