Jennifer Christman

VP OF MEDIA

Jennifer leads account teams in project management and campaign strategy.  She also is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with podcast and radio networks and various agency partners.

Jennifer joined Ad Results Media in 2002 and has held several positions within the company including Media Buyer, Account Manager, Media Manager and Media Director before being promoted to a Vice President role in 2015. Prior to joining Ad Results, Jennifer was part of the marketing teams at Coach USA and Welcom Software.

A graduate of the University of Houston, Jennifer resides in Kingwood, TX where she spends her free time with her husband and two young children.  She enjoys running, working out and spending time by the pool.

DeShá Runnels

VP OF MEDIA

For over 15 years, DeShá has specialized in generating revenue and consumer engagement via creative partnerships and content creation. From his time in the USC Athletic Department, to FOX, The Audience Network and The Dan Patrick Show & The Rich Eisen Show, DeShá has established himself as a trusted collaborator, in highly competitive markets, who has a deep understanding of the national media landscape and how to use it.

DeShá holds a master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and bachelor’s degree in Communication from UC Davis where he was a four-year letterman for the football team.

Gretchen Smith

VP OF MEDIA

Gretchen is a multi-platform team & agency leader with demonstrated successful history across multiple Fortune 500 brands, connecting paid investments to measured success across brand life cycles. Vertical experience includes travel, non-profit, wellness, liquor, beer, beauty, fragrance, retail, and military recruiting.  Gretchen prides herself in prioritizing keeping media consumer-first and the role audio storytelling has within brand marketing and relationships.  Her passion projects lie within the ever-changing Martech & adtech space, and simplifying what it means for companies, brands, and consumers.

Gretchen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. of Advertising with a concentration in paid media, and a B.A. in Economics.

Lisa Jacobs

VP OF MEDIA

Lisa Jacobs is an Account Director at Ad Results Media, the industry leader in audio-based advertising. Leveraging her analytical education at Wake Forest, and years in digital performance marketing, she is now applying the same frameworks to the audio world. Lisa also spearheads operational innovations to drive efficiencies at Ad Results Media, especially across the rapidly evolving podcast frontier. Between the team that she leads today and previous roles, Lisa has driven value for household names such as Molson Coors, ThirdLove, Harrah’s, Qualcomm, and Navy Federal Credit Union.

Outside of the office, Lisa is an avid runner, yogi, aspiring chef and entrepreneur.

Kurt Kaufer

PARTNER & CMO

Kurt has decades of experience in performance marketing, strategy development, media channel execution and analytics.

Prior to co-founding the digital and audio consultancy Brown Bear Digital in 2013 and Ad Results Media in 2016, Kurt started his career in Finance where he managed large institutional investment accounts.  After nearly a decade in Finance, he shifted over to digital marketing and web analytics where went on to oversee global SEM efforts for Provide Commerce (now FTD) and he built and led Stance’s digital customer acquisition and retention marketing efforts.

Today, Kurt is a Partner of Ad Results Media and oversees Marketing, Ads Trafficking, Ads Compliance, Creative, Operations and Human Resources.

Ceena Babukutty

SR. DIRECTOR OF HR

Ceena brings over 15 years of HR experience to Ad Results Media. As a trilingual professional in Human Resources, she specializes in processes and initiatives that will impact the business thru its employees. Ceena has worked for Fortune 500 companies in the energy, health and high tech sectors. She has had international exposure throughout her career, accompanying management teams and employees through rapid change and growth challenges. With a curious and innovative mindset, she is always looking for areas of impact and efficiencies. Some of her other specializations include: Talent Management: Staffing, On-Boarding, development, performance review management, project management, succession planning, talent assessments, learning and development, compensation, benefits, and strategies in diversity.

 

In her spare time she loves to travel, read the newspaper, play with her dogs, and go to sports games.

Marshall Williams

PARTNER & CEO

Marshall got his start nearly 30 years ago an early adopter, salesman and advocate of direct response radio.  He quickly became one of the larger buyers of endorsement radio in the US for various companies before venturing out on his own when he formed the Williams Media Group in 1997.

A year later, Williams connected with current business partner Russell Lindley, to form “Ad Results, Inc.” and in 2016 Ad Results, Inc. merged with “Brown Bear Digital, Inc.”, founded by current Partners Steve Shanks, Kurt Kaufer and Michael Kropko.

Today, Marshall primarily focuses on new business development, strategic planning and client and network partnerships.

Lindsay Boyd

SR. DIRECTOR - TRAFFIC & QUALITY ASSURANCE

Lindsay joined Ad Results Media as a podcast Voice Over Actor and is an avid supporter of creative, personal advertising in the audio space. She now oversees the Traffic and Quality Assurance Department and believes strongly in the power of the audio industry to connect with listeners in a personal way not found in film and television.

Prior to her role at Ad Results Media, Lindsay’s focus was on Marketing and Creative Design for local, small-business startups and theatres. She has an extensive background in graphic design and audio editing, as well as theatre and film direction, set design, sound, and costuming.

Steven Shanks

PARTNER & CRO

Steve joined Ad Results Media as part of a merger with his firm Brown Bear Digital in 2016.  As a co-founder of Brown Bear Digital, he advised high growth start-ups like Blue Apron, Harry’s, Casper, SeatGeek and others to help them scale into some of the largest brands in podcasting today.

Prior to Brown Bear Digital, Steve oversaw broadcast marketing at Provide Commerce and built out the brand Shari’s Berries in Audio & TV including some of the first podcast advertisements.

Today, Steve leads overall client & performance strategy and new business development.

Jemina MacHarry

DIRECTOR - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Jemina MacHarry is a seasoned sales professional with over 10 years of experience developing and implementing strategic plans to increase business and nurture existing accounts. From her time with FedEx Corporate Sales, Pearson Higher Education, and the Houston Rockets, Jemina has proved herself as a trusted sales consultant across various industries with a deep understanding of acquiring and cultivating new client relationships.

Jemina holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Marketing as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales from the University of Houston.

Russell Lindley

PARTNER & PRESIDENT

Russell started his career in radio sales in 1988 and over the next 10 years he worked his way through all aspects of the radio business from sales and station management to station ownership.

In 1998 he co-founded, “Ad Results, Inc.”  an agency that focused solely on influencer advertising.  In 2016, “Ad Results, Inc.” merged with “Brown Bear Digital Inc.”, a San Diego based digital and audio advertising consultancy.

Today, Lindley primarily focuses on new business development, strategic planning and campaign execution for the agency.

Michael Kropko

PARTNER & COO

Mike joined Ad Results Media as part of a merger with his firm Brown Bear Digital that he co-founded in 2016, consulting high growth start-ups scale their digital and offline acquisition marketing channels.  He has spent over 20 years in various marketing, operations, and strategy roles working for companies such as Provide Commerce (ProFlowers & Shari’s Berries) and SiriusXM.

Today, Mike oversees Business Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Technology & Analytics

Patty Mertes

VP OF MEDIA

For over 16 years, Patty Mertes has been a key strategic agency partner with early adopter and disruptive brands focused on customer acquisition and achieving profitable outcomes at scale through offline media. While managing multimillion dollar, multichannel campaigns, such as Dollar Shave Club, Uber, NortonLifeLock, and Ancestry.com, Patty is a proven collaborator in identifying profitable business opportunities across a range of enterprises and customer segments to drive both top line growth and bottom-line results for her clients.  Patty graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Tony Carnevale

DIRECTOR - CREATIVE

Tony Carnevale got started in TV writing and comedy performance, where he learned how to tell a story and connect with an audience. Those skills have proven incredibly useful in his career as an advertising creative, which he began at CDM and continued at the internal branded content studios of BuzzFeed and G/O Media (including Gizmodo, The Onion, and many other sites). 

In addition to writing, Tony loves biking, hanging out with dogs, board games, and trying new foods.

Mohina Panthi

CONTROLLER

An accomplished financial professional with 15+ years of Progressive Finance and Accounting experience in Manufacturing and Oil & Gas services, Mohina began her career with public companies like General Electric, Baxter, and FMC technology. For the last 10 years, she has worked with Private Equity backed companies and been extensively involved in Process Improvement and M&A. Mohina has a strong track record of leveraging her operational experience and expertise in Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Tax, and M&A to build high performing, results-oriented teams.

She joined Ad Results Media in 2021 as a Controller. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a dual Master’s degree -MBA and Master of Accountancy from the University of Louisville.

Lanny Chiu

VP OF ANALYTICS

Lanny Chiu is the VP of Analytics for Ad Results Media.  He received his S.B. in economics from MIT and his MSFE in Financial engineering from Columbia University.  He is an expert in the areas of data analysis, media optimization and strategic decision making.

He has previously held Director level positions at the Intensity Corporation, FTD and New York Life Investment Management.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and as well as rooting on his home-time Patriots, Celtics and Red-Sox (an easy past-time the last few years).
