Director of Analytics


Ad Results Media is seeking a Director of Analytics to join our Analytics team. This individual will report to the VP of Analytics. This individual will act as the subject matter expert for data, supporting in-depth business client reviews, cross-functional analyses, strategic initiatives, and overall development of the company growth strategy. This individual will work with a variety of data sources to continuously evolve the metrics used to measure the effectiveness and ROI of activity, both internally and externally. This candidate will also assist the executives and their teams in framing data-driven decisions and execute executive-level analytical projects.


  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of Analytics including campaign analysis & reporting
  • Delivers business insights, analytics consulting, and education to our internal teams and clients
  • Works closely with clients and account teams to assess business and marketing challenges, discuss the possible solutions, and execute a plan
  • Develops and maintains a strong data-driven culture internally and externally
  • Evolves internal processes and collaboration models for a unified, integrated approach
  • Partners with clients and business teams to assess challenges, discuss possible solutions, and execute a plan
  • Oversees team outputs of data visualization and advanced reporting, working internally within the department to ensure that data processes are automated and efficient
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on media strategy; including media testing, target audience profiling, consumer insights, competitive understanding, and budget allocation
  • Creates and maintains a common set of data definitions across the company
  • Oversees company-level analytics dashboards to support overall execution, executive and board-level reporting


  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Science, or equivalent working experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience in data analytics, product management, finance or corporate strategy
  • Experience working for a Media/Advertising agency is preferred
  • Must have the ability to translate data into insights that understands customer needs and behavioral drivers
  • Must be highly versed in analytic methodologies
  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving & critical thinking skills
  • Must have strong ability to manage ambiguity and guide the organization through it towards clear and decisive action plans
  • Ability interpret data, draw conclusions and formulate recommendation
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand client challenges; address with solutions
  • Advanced MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS, programming languages such as Python, Java, and Ruby
  • Preferred: Experience using BI Platforms such as Tableau and Looker
  • Strong knowledge of strategic marketing, media, social, web site analysis, audience targeting tools and vendors, including both quantitative tracking and research methodologies
  • Working knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and marketing
